Boeing 747-8 "Intercontinental" project:

Details on the main landing gear:

First, the brakes...

Next, miscellaneous linkage details... Still a long way to go.

Final adjustments on the outboard mains, and the plan...

Here are the last (main) adjustments and additions to the outboard landing gear. Next, I'm going to add all the visible hoses and wiring, and then move on to the inboard main gear, and the nose gear. That will ensure that I'll have enough system resources to finish the landing gear, to this level of detail. If, after all that, I find that I can still add details, I'll do it then.

Most of the brake-related lines installed...

Lots of little support brackets all over the landing gear to route the brake lines, so I've added the ones I can see in the photos. It's tedious work, but they do help keep things organized, both in real life, and on the MODO model.

Moving on to the inboard main gear:

That's as far as I'm going with the outboard main gear. If you'd like to have a closer look, here's a brief turntable-style movie of the outboard main gear.
